Team Prime Time: 14 years later




There is no doubt Shark Cannonballs owes it's success to the scores of charter captains and tournament champions who have been using Sharks for the past 14 years. We were a small fish in a big pond, a good product but the politics of marketing was the biggest obstacle. What saved us was guys like Captain Pete Lahosky, Capt. Pete was one of the first Lake Ontario captains to prove Sharks worked to attract fish to the spread. 14 years later Capt. Pete still likes his Sharks, this email from him this morning; and 14 years later we are still grateful to Captain Pete Lahosky and his team Prime Time to tell it like it is.

Ed,  Nice to hear from you. I am without a doubt still a huge fan of the Shark weight. New boat this season a Tiara 32 Open has 3 Scotty downriggers and of course all of them outfitted with 15lb Sharks! I also have a set of 12lb Sharks I use early season for our spring fishery. Our tournament success over the past 12 years is in large part due to Shark Downrigger weights. Team Prime Time has a proven tournament track record of top finishes. Just look at attached picture and you can see Prime Time sits at the top of the chart for the most consistent placing team at the prestigious A-Tom-Mik Invitational for the past 4 years!  Prime Time also has more top 10 finishes at the Wilson Harbor Invitational than any other team. Not to mention that Shark weights have helped Prime Time become one of the most sought after charter boats out of Oswego, NY. As we all know the fishery on Lake Ontario has changed dramatically over the past 28 years I have been fishing it. Every year it seems we are challenged to catch salmon deeper and deeper and with all the currents we deal with on the eastern end of Lake Ontario Shark weights are more valuable than ever. They track straight have minimal blow back and attract kings like no other weight with those magical facets!! Shark weights will continue to be an integral part of Team Prime Time success!            Thanks again               Capt Pete

Shark Pro Staff, Ove Johansson from Team Extreme in Sweden is one Extreme Viking Fishermen, he has been using Sharks to catch big fish for the past 14 years, including a few national championships.  Ove caught this beautiful Artic Char behind a Chrome Shark yesterday.  Team Extreme has also been testing Shark Tournament spoons in Sweden for the past 2 years; just to make sure they work. They do!
