Captain John Keizer; Salt Patrol, Testing Shark Spoons in Puget Sound

Image
"The ocean salmon fishery opened up this past weekend in Washington, and I finally got to give the Shark Spoons a work out. The spoon performed very well. It produced kings to 20 pounds. Can't wait for the big boys to get here this summer." "The way I rigged it was a split ring to the spoon to a barrel swivel. I attached a 6/0 hook to the swivel. On the swivel I added a mini white glow UV Gold Star squid. The top of the spoon was rigged with six feet of 30lb flourocarbon leader to a ball bearing swivel. This was fished behind a 12 pound chrome Shark weight. When those big kings hit, it was like a freight train took it off the rigger." Captain John Keizer
