Shark Cannonballs would not be where it is today without the help of Canada's most famous angler, Mr. Darryl Choronzey.  In recognition of the support Darryl Cronzy has provided to our project over the past 14 years, we appointed Darryl as an honorary member of the Shark Cannonballs International Pro Staff Team. As a small family business operating out of Northern Ontario, we could not afford mainstream advertising. Right from the beginning, Darryl liked the Shark and took it upon himself to help our project. He featured the Shark on his TV show “Going Fishing” countless times over the years. The exposure on the show and the support from Canada's top fishing personality has enabled us to survive in a very competitive fishing equipment market among international corporate giants. Darryl did this out of the goodness of his heart and asked nothing in return. Once in a while we were able to supply him with a few samples. We would like to mention at the same time, Darryl wa...

Capt. Ryan Hare re: 17 Pound Sharks. I really like the 17lb balls. Great size for guys who are not comfortable with the 20lb ball but want to fish a bit deeper. It really performs well in depths from 100-180ft below that I prefer my 20lbs Sharks.  I have been running a 15lb on my probe down 30-65ft. I run my mid rigger with a 17. It works well down shallow in 25-60fow but works great down 100-180ft as I said before  I always run a 20lb on my deep rigger. I run that 20lbs Sharks down 200-330ft sometimes.

Shark Pro Staff: The A Team from Norway. Capt. Frank Ronny Johansen, Capt. Roy Idar Hi Ed Here is an update about us: The Norwegian fishermen in "A-Team trolling" consist of Capt. Frank Ronny Johansen, Capt. Roy Idar Brandlistuen and Capt. Knut Einar Havn. They have just bought a new fishing boat, AMT 215 PH Pro Fishing, with a Honda 175hp outboard engine. Team Prime Time: 14 years later

There is no doubt Shark Cannonballs owes it's success to the scores of charter captains and tournament champions who have been using Sharks for the past 14 years. We were a small fish in a big pond, a good product but the politics of marketing was the biggest obstacle. What saved us was guys like Captain Pete Lahosky, Capt. Pete was one of the first Lake Ontario captains to prove Sharks worked to attract fish to the spread. 14 years later Capt. Pete still likes his Sharks, this email from him this morning; and 14 years later we are still grateful to Captain Pete Lahosky and his team Prime Time to tell it like it is. We will be posting a brand new Shark Cannonballs website soon, Captian Pete was the first to step up with new material for our Shark Pro Staff Page. Ed,  Nice to hear from you. I am without a doubt still a huge fan of the Shark weight. New boat this season a Tiara 32 Open has 3 Scotty downriggers and of course all of them outfitted with 15...

I dropped in to see my old pal Lorne Fletcher yesterday at Fletcher's Sports; Lorne was doing just great, he was at his station fixing an eyelet on an expensive rod.  He gave me some good advice on our new Shark flashers; I remember 14 years ago when he advised me on how to improve our rather crude first Sharks.  Lorne was the first Shark dealer ever and he is the first Shark dealer to stock our series of tournament spoons. In stock now.
