" Shark's still doing their magic! 20 lb & 15 lb. Winter King Salmon" Captain Mike Cessnun: Alaska Thanks Mike, I'm not sure if you are aware of the full signifigance of those two magnificent fish, but according to my information they could just be the first official Shark related King Salmon of the 2011 season worldwide. It was so cold in Scandinavia this winter, all the lakes froze over, and the Kings don't start on the west coast for some time. In any case, there will be a lot of guys out there with big smiles on their faces just waiting their turn in a month or so; this will really help.

Later in the day, Suzanne came running into the room, I could tell by the look on her face this was not going to be good. Suzanne has become experienced in delivering bad news over the years, being careful of my condition. What is it I said. She spoke quickly; Nikki and little Orion were just in a bad car accident; but she quickly followed up, She's OK, she's OK, and so is little Orion. He just has a black eye, the car is a write off. My heart still went into a knot; in the time it took to say the words, I went from deep shock to great relief at the news Nikki and Orion survived. For the second time in the same day, I reflected on just how precious life is, and how vulnerable we all are, and especially how important it is to keep our priorities straight. Nikki Downham was a big part of the Shark...

I sent ATOMMIK Tom Allen an email yesterday morning, not having any idea what he had just gone through. I was about a month late getting back to him, just some stuff about a fishing show; I'm a little slow these days. A short time later the news came in as a shock; an operation, a tumor, my God! Suddenly everything fell into perspective, how precious life is, how vulnerable we all are, and how important it is to keep our priorities straight. I went from deep shock to instant relief in the time it took to read the sentence; thank God, Tom made it through. I said a little prayer for Tom and his family, and counted my blessings. Good luck Tom; get well soon!

Captain Tore and I worked things out, wished each other well, and we are both moving forward. I explained to Captian Tore there was some serious problems going on behind the scenes regarding the Shark Spoons. Just when we figured we finally nailed all the problems and we were actually going to deliver the much anticipated Shark Spoons to market, we encountered a nasty surprise with the company producing them for us. As part of the legal agreement we entered into with the other party to settle this matter, I can't really say too much; like how they tried to screw us over. In short, I called up my pal Dan Haude from our pro staff team Erie Adventure, besides being one of the top guys on our team, Dan happens to be a "kick ass lawyer", he is as good at lawyering as he is at competition fishing. I wanted his opinion about a letter that I wrote to the offending party stating what was really on my mind. I just wanted to make sure I didn't break any USA laws in the process o...
